The LMT IoT team is set to participate in Embedded World 2026, held in Nuremberg, Germany, from March 10–12. At the event’s exhibition, LMT experts will demonstrate its IoT Shortcut – a comprehensive ecosystem designed to accelerate the development and global rollout of cellular IoT devices.

Located in Hall 3A, Booth 3A-629, LMT IoT experts will present the full-stack solution that simplifies the transition from prototype to mass production. By providing integrated hardware, firmware, and cloud connectivity, IoT Shortcut enables businesses to launch connected products in months rather than years, removing the regulatory and technical roadblocks typically associated with industrial IoT.

LMT’s IoT Shortcut System on Module (SoM), measuring just 20 x 26 mm, is one of the world’s smallest mobile data modules for sensor equipment. Powered by the Nordic Semiconductor nRF9151, the module supports global LTE-M and NB-IoT bands, ensuring reliable connectivity across international borders.

Embedded World visitors will have the opportunity to meet LMT’s IoT team of engineers and strategists to explore how cellular LPWAN technologies can streamline their specific use cases.

Our team at the event:

  • Valters Skrastiņš, Head of IoT Hardware. With over a decade of experience in R&D and electronic engineering, Valters specializes in transitioning from prototype to production. He doesn’t just build hardware; he builds for manufacturing. If you want to discuss hardware design, scaling strategies, or how to maintain peak quality at high volumes, Valters is the person to meet. Book a meeting with Valters.
  • Arturs Lalovs, Business Development Manager. Arturs has been working in cellular IoT for 6 years. With a background in HVAC engineering systems, urban economics, and an MBA, he connects the technical with the practical. Talk to Arturs if you’re exploring how cellular IoT fits into real-world deployments, are interested in scalable business models, or want to discuss IoT adoption in cities, infrastructure, or public services. Book a meeting with Arturs.
  • Kristaps Bergfelds, Product Manager. Kristaps spent a decade in academia as a physics researcher and lecturer before transitioning into the tech world. For the past five years, he has specialized in translating complex technical concepts into usable, scalable IoT solutions. If you’re interested in smart design, product value-add, or user-centric functionality, Kristaps is the person to talk to about bridging the gap between theoretical physics and real-world products. Book a meeting with Kristaps.
